The Safe Word joins the Durden family

The Durden Agency welcomes The Safe Word to its family of artists.

The Safe Word is a new project featuring Jason Snellgrove, a former member of another Durden-related band, Breaking Aim and The Rhythm.

Snellgrove is also the founder of Did You Bury It? Productions and the writer and director of the upcoming zombie film Gut Munchers.

Durden Artists playing this weekend

Two Durden Artists have shows this weekend:

Breaking Aim and The Rhythm are performing at Head on the Door in Montgomery, AL. They are also releasing a DVD full of live footage from shows.

Hail the Titans is performing at The Handlebar in Pensacola, FL on Friday and at The Squeaky Lizard in Ocean Springs, MS on Saturday.

Last Thursday at their show at It’ll Do Tavern in Montgomery, AL, Breaking Aim and The Rhythm spoke with The Local Scene about original music in their hometown. Check the link for the story and an accompanying video.

Thursday, Jan. 5, Organic Hippie and 104.9 The Gump are sponsoring a night of original music at It’ll Do Tavern in Montgomery, AL featuring Breaking Aim and The Rhythm.

The band is putting the finishing touches on their new album, which is scheduled to be released later this month.

The music starts at 9 p.m. and there is no cover.

Breaking Aim and The Rhythm announced this morning that the title of their upcoming album is “The Message.” The album will be released on Jan. 20 at Head on the Door in Montgomery, AL. The release show will also feature a performance by The Great American Breakdown from Birmingham, AL.

Breaking Aim and The Rhythm just released a special edition of their “We Want Something More” EP. The release contains the original six tracks plus special, previously-unreleased live and demo tracks. It is available for streaming or download via their Bandcamp page.

Recently, the band has been working on a full-length follow up with Headless Dinosaur Recording in Montgomery, AL.
